ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMS NOW AVAILABLE – NATIONALLY RECOGNISED

It has been a productive few weeks at Allens Training and Rapid1stAid have been finalising Allens Training’s NEW online training programs.

In the current environment, we understand that some of our clients are unable to continue with the delivery of traditional group training. So, we have developed a number of enhanced online learning programs for a number of our nationally recognised units.

These online programs involve participants undertaking extensive online training and theory assessments prior to a short face-to-face assessment. The face-to-face assessments are currently capped at two participants, and run for between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the course.

This new delivery model is currently available for our key first aid programs (outlined below) and will be extended to cover other vital training programs in time.

This new approach to training allows individuals to complete the online component of training at their own pace, followed by a quick practical assessment with a trainer. In this current environment, we are taking actions to minimise the risk and this new program ticks all the boxes.

  • Most learning and training is done online
  • Very quick face-to-face assessment with only one or two people present
  • No more large groups in one training room for long sessions
  • Nationally recognised training

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Online Training

In day to day life, in the workplace, in the community or at home, you may be confronted by a life-threatening emergency such as someone experiencing Cardiac Arrest. Quick decision making and knowledge on what to do could save someone’s life.

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to recognise when someone is unconscious and not breathing normally (Cardiac Arrest) and increase their chance of survival by calling an ambulance and performing potentially lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including using a defibrillator, until emergency services arrive to take over.

The course is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and applies to all workers or members of the community who may be required to provide CPR in the event of an emergency.

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Online Training

This first aid course will allow you to develop skills and knowledge and most importantly, confidence, to provide first aid treatment to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury.  You will develop the skills to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery.  It includes initial intervention in a casualty with a serious condition prior to professional medical help being available, such as performing CPR while awaiting an ambulance, as well as the complete treatment of other less serious conditions, such as applying water for burns, or assisting someone choking.

Providing effective, lifesaving first aid interventions requires instruction and practical training.  This is especially true where it relates to potentially fatal illnesses and injuries, such as those that require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or involve severe bleeding. These procedures carry a risk of further injury to the casualty and the first aider.  As with any training, it is more useful if training occurs before being confronted with an actual real-life situation.

The course is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and applies to all workers or members of the community who may be required to provide CPR in the event of an emergency.

This first aid course is essential for everyday life events, allowing you to provide immediate and effective first aid to workers or others who have been injured or become ill at the workplace or at home.

HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting Online Training

Providing effective, lifesaving first aid interventions requires instruction and practical training.  As with any training, it is more useful if training occurs before being confronted with a real-life situation, particularly in an education and care setting.

This course has been developed for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.  It is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

During training you will gain the confidence and ability to recognise an emergency situation, identify hazards and make them safer, and provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

You will also learn the importance of recognising the possible psychological impacts on self, other rescuers and children, talking with children about their emotions and responses to events and participating in debriefing with your supervisor.

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & UETTDRRF06 Perform a rescue from a live LV Panel Course Set

The CPR and LVR course is essential if you are conducting live work or working with live switchboards. The course covers the performance of rescue procedures from a live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to carry out and complete the LV panel rescue procedures and to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a casualty in a range of situations. It consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be assessed as competent in providing CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines as well as rescue procedures from a LV apparatus.

Low voltage rescue comprises responsive operations that involve the saving of life, or prevention of injury during an incident or dangerous situation.
