Is this course best for me?
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is a course that has been developed in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This course is suitable for existing workers in the industry who may be required to complete regular CPR training
The certificate is valid for 1 year and is recommended to be renewed annually
I want to attend this course what do I need to do?
Once you register for this course; you will receive an invite to enrol onto the course and complete some online pre-course material; we recommend you watch the series of videos with the questions at the end of each section.
Upon completion of this you can choose to print off the certificate; however, we will receive a notification that you have completed your registration
If you haven’t completed your pre-course material several reminders will be sent out by re-inviting you to enrol; in addition, you will receive an SMS advising you that you are still yet to complete this process approximately 72 hrs. prior to the course date
Are there any assessments?
Yes. Throughout the course, you will undertake mostly practical activities and per the training package, you MUST be able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and child on the floor and baby placed on a firm surface. Please carefully consider this when making your booking.
Do I receive a certificate?
Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a statement of attainment which includes the following:
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This certificate will be sent to you electronically generally within one business day of sitting the course
How long is the certificate valid for?
The HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of issue

I don’t have a USI number what is this? And what do I need to do?
As of 1st of January 2016 the Government brought in legislation stating that anyone who undertook accredited training will be required to enter a USI number that matches their identity.
A USI number stands for Unique Student Identification number, and it’s a combination of 10 alpha/numeric digits. You will only be required to do the registration once so it’s advisable to keep the number handy perhaps print it out and stick on the back of your Medicare card.
Having a USI works in your favour as it doesn’t allow for non-accredited training to be registered against this number and somewhere down the track it may form part of an electronic resume where a potential employer may be able to look at what courses you have attended and what’s current and what’s expired
To get a USI you can either follow the prompts that are asked of you as you enrol onto your booked course or you can register by going to www.usi.gov.au; you will be required to ensure your identity matches your form of ID such as your driver’s license or Medicare card.
